but at the end of the day, if McClaren gets the job, the old inadequacies remain rife.
He's the players' choice and that doesn't surprise me, in fact, it sounds thoroughly reasonable. However, I feel the national side could do with a massive shake-up due to the problems that plague it and handing the job to someone who is responsible for most of it is hardly a step in the right direction.
