No my point is your suggestion that the club would be negligent if they don't try to bring players in during this window. I think (as do most others) that spending money we haven't got will do us far more harm than good given the position we are currently in (both League Position and Financial Security of the Club). With the wonderful gift of hindsight the errors happened back in the Summer, though of course most of us (including myself) thought the signings we made were wonderful. The stable door is now bolted, but sadly the horse ran off a long time ago.
