The whole media circus is just so used to the idea of owners pumping endless streams of cash into clubs, there’s no longer any coverage of this. Only coverage of clubs like us, under withering headlines about how we really need to “invest” (i.e. spend a couple of hundred million we don’t have) and if we decide not to then that’s our problem, and we should basically just f**k off and stop clogging up the league. Disappointing that even the beeb by into this agenda, rather than painting as plucky underdogs trying to achieve the impossible.
