The infuriating thing about them

is that they can play the best football on the planet. But last night was like watching paint dry.

I guess I love the Keegan approach - screw defending, we're going to attack. And Arsenal have got the players and the skill to do just that, especially against a relatively weak team like Villareal. Last night was the triumph of pragmatism over principle, and I thought it sucked. Great teams don't play like that, they go out and dominate. Well, except great Italian teams!

You only have to ask yourself whether Barca would have put Henry back in defence away to Villareal. The answer is obvious, I think.

So I want Barca to win because they are the only romance team left in the competition. I know that if it's a Barca/Arsenal final, Arsenal won't play like they did last night, and it couild be a cracking game. But I will still want Barca to win, on a "character" basis. Arsenal could have won that game comfortably last night if they'd made any effort. As it was they played negative crap for 90 mins and were only kept in it by a weak penalty.
