Better players would have buried these chances and punished Arsenal, but Villarreal dont have the players Barca etc have, that why i believe Wenger knew this and was prepared to sit back.

Villerreals stats in this seasons champs league speak for themselves, i think Wenger knew if they stayed firm and defended well then they would get through as Villerreal just didnt have the attcking class to punish them
