You don’t show up to a match against this Chelsea side with the nervousness and aimlessness Norwich did today unless you want to be pulverized, and that is what happened today - utterly incredible. Consider also, Tuchel has continued what Lampard started and is heavily featuring the youth players of the club - Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Loftus-Cheek, James and Chalobah all featured today, and with Chilwell and Barkley also getting game time there’s a healthy prospect for England in a brilliant Chelsea side.
Compare the spirit and fight Brentford took to Chelsea, in which the excellence of Edouard Mendy clawed a victory for his team with fine margins, to the dirge put out by Norwich today. Both sides have just been promoted, but the difference between the two is staggering. Norwich have been beaten very badly by several sides now and for all we can lather praise on Chelsea you do have to wonder what is going through the heads of the beaten team today, now rooted to the foot of the table for at least another week.
