fair enough, but the problem is...

if you keep playing below-par football the odds are that you won't get the results. You have to maximise your chances of getting results by playing good football. This season we have had far more lucky wins than we have had unlucky defeats based on performance quality. We have got lucky this season, with results outstripping performances, and still comfortably missed out on the playoffs (let alone promotion).
We will need a 50% improvement in performance standard next year if we are seriously going to challenge (unless we are going to get really lucky again).

I accept that is possible with smart buys , better tactics and a more positive attitude away from home. I just don't think it likely, and the good finish results-wise to this season makes it LESS likely (Worthy won't see himself as lucky, he'll think he has got it right and current performance levels will see us fine next season)
