I don't think I have missed the point

Unless the point si that as usual you are trying to get a rise out of people by being overly philosophical about things.

Fact is I can accept us being crap when we are. We had several years of being crap when we came down and I could live with it because the managers had nothing to work with. They were doing as well as they could with the resources at their disposal.

What i can't take though is having to sit back and watch Worthington throwing away all of the hard work that has been done over the last few seasons and what has been a genuine opportunity to re-establish the club at the top level again. We had a good side at the end of last season and still do have plenty of good players who should have performed much better this year. Whats more I find it incredibly frustrating that he has effectively been allowed to do so thorugh a shocking lack of pressure and ambition from Delia and MWJ.

For what its worth i accept that he is still likely to be the manager at the start of next season and I will put my views on Worthy to one side and support the team come August in the hope that they will finally start to play like they can but I will never back Nigel Worthington as our mananger again and even if we did go up I would still want him replaced as there would be no point going into the top division with him at the helm - we would be doomed from day one!
