Agreed he can't help players making defensive mistakes on the day but its clear we should be playing with two defensive midfielders in a 4-2-3-1.
I can't see any logic in playing 4-3-3. We don't dominate possession, we are too slow to pressing the ball and as apparent yesterday it leaves space on the wings that neither Williams nor Aaron's were able to deal with.
With little preseason, the euros and a new set of players to fit into the system the most obvious thing to was to keep the same shape and slowly introduce the new players into the positions. So why he has ripped up the very system that got us promoted to go for a more attacking open and generally risky alternative that the majority of the players do not play i can't quite understand.
