I think years ago the bigger clubs would gobble up the best English players

Now with other clubs having better wealth they can keep hold of their good English talents so that probably why the squad doesn’t necessarily come from the big six.

I also think the work the club academies do with their youngsters is vital. Norwich work hard to teach their young players life skills and values so I guess other teams do similar. The work at St Georges park with the youth teams probably helps as well.

One thing is for sure, all of this squad seem very well rounded and likeable. Hopefully this bodes well for the future.
