This summer half term
Before high-school was a decent point to do it.
They're old enough to have had all the school safeguarding stuff... Acres of it here.
And they have chance to navigate the virtual friendspace before heading to High school, with all that entails.
No easy answer and all kids are different. Two extra non negotiable rules - parents have access to everything on there (nevertheless respecting privacy) - any social media stuff a parent is a 'friend' on too.
Tbh most social media stuff appears so last year. My teen has gone all hipster analogue retro.
