I agree wholeheartedly

Although to a degree, it's easy for us to say as we're enjoying a very good spell in the clubs recent history while also investing in the academy.

If you're a midtable championship side under serious financial pressure, it's not hard to see how the short-term desire to invest in the playing squad and try to get some of those premier league riches trumps the long term view.

If things had panned out differently and we hadn't been promoted in Farke's second season and had ended up spending a few seasons in Championship midtable, I'm not sure the fans would be quite so unanimous in their praise of the long-term academy based goal, even if objectively it clearly is the correct route forward.
