All that tub-thumping, badge kissing & clapping, especially after the defeat at home to Sheffield Wednesday has now been turned on him.
And the comparison to John Barnes in an England shirt - don't get it, I'm afraid.
Hughes is being booed as he's Worthy's stooge - and he represents everything in a footballer that Worthy likes - and he's also one of the worst players I've seen play for NCFC in recent years. John Barnes was booed by racists.
As the MitS headline said last week - it was Citizen Management, but just cranked up a notch from the Leicester game.
