I entirely agree with the thrust of your point

But I certainly don't love her and there should be no presumption of love or even the benefit of the doubt just because she is female/black/American/confident/ etc etc. As I said, she may well be a massive t**t. I don't expect people to love her and no-one (by me at least) is being called a gammon simply because they take against her (for whatever reason).

But the media hounding of her is entirely based on her 'otherness' and is way, way, way out of proportion, based on her perceived 'crimes' and many of the posts on here this morning follow all the classic tropes associated with the monstering of women and women of colour who don't 'know their place'.

As has been applied to many topics - not all people who dislike Meghan are racist/misogynist, but you can lay large sums on all racists/misogynists disliking Meghan and expressing their views on her 'personality' (of which they have zero evidence) loudly and clearly.
