Fantastic - fab fun follows!
1) Which comedian was supposedly reading the Bible on his deathbed. His apparent final words were "I'm looking for the loopholes" Fields, WC
2) Who wrote the books 'The French Lieutenants Woman' and 'The Collector'? Fowls, John
3) Under what stage name did Terence Nelhams have 11 top 10 hits in the 1960's? Faith, Adam
4) Who won the World Motor Racing Drivers title 6 times in the 1950's? Fucked if I know
5) Which British comedian with a bulbous nose lived between 1933 and 1983? Feldman, Marty? (guess)
6) Which American adventurer died in 2008 when his single seater aircraft came down in a remote part of California? Fuck. I know that one. But I don't know it know it. So I have to say I don't know and then kick myself when I read the answer. Not literally kick myself, that would be silly. Though I do do silly things sometimes. But not that.
7) Who had a 'Dead Cert' in 1962 and then wrote a thriller a year for the next 38 years? Francis, Dick. All about the horsies.
8) In the film 'The Day of the Jackal', who played the Jackal? Fox, Edward
9) English Dancer Peggy Hookham was better known by what name? Fonteyn, Margot, like that posh lady in A Good Life, only a better dancer than her, Dame, like they have in pantos, well some of them.
10) Which boxer did Muhammed Ali defeat to win the World Heavyweight Boxing Title for the second time? Frazier, Joe? If that's right it's only cos of the letter otherwise I'd have gone for someone else but his name doesn't start with F so it wasn't him, so Frazier.
Many thank yous for setting these.
