So sorry to hear this

My Dad had late stage dementia when he died (from a stroke) some years ago. Still a shock when they actually go. Give yourself time and space to grieve - you will grow round it, rather than move past it; be as gentle with yourself as you would be with a close friend going through the same thing. Big wobbly internet hugs.
