I didn't see Crewe rushing out to buy crap after selling Ashton to us last season. If we would have been paying tax then it suggests we are not only profitable but have no losses brought forward from previous years (which negates your 'all the money went on subsidising losses from the past' argument). Why have I never seen any club befoire say "oh, we had to buy so-and-so to avoid giving money to the taxman". It is total bullsh*t for gullible idiots to believe!
