George Carman QC (in my world) used to take coke in trial sometimes because he thought it made him faster on his feet. So yeah, that was cheating. And a young man I know at Cambridge gets very angry with fellow students who take Ritalin to help them concentrate in revision periods (and I agree with him). Mind you that is against university rules.
