Well yes, but it is dependant on the type of industry

Also it depends on your definition of success, if you believe success lies wholly on your bank balance then you would likely be wealthier later in life if you worked in industries that develop and innovate new products such as Tech/Science/Medical/Finance/Business. If you enter one of these fields of work (requires a lot of work to get qualified/experience + if running a business a large financial pressure to pay staff etc) there is a good chance you will be paid well.

Alternatively fields such as Care are less likely to reach higher earning potentials as the limit of what people/government can afford.

If you want the best chance of being wealthy and earning a good living the best field to go into is AI research.
