My observation of the champ to prem divide....
Is it’s extremely difficult to bridge the gap as a newly promoted side playing “pretty“ football. In particular, playing a possession based game.
If the Norwich model is to adopt a playing philosophy from top to bottom of possession based football, does that mean we’re automatically doomed to relegation after every promotion? On the assumption that further promotions do indeed occur.
I’d prefer our style to be good football, but with a bit more emphasis on pressing and catching teams on the break.
Much like we did in some of our best performances over the last couple of years (Leeds away, Everton away, plus others).
I guess this is a problem if we find a way to get out of the championship rather than for today, but some of the posts below gave me cause to think again about whether Farke’s philosophy, (admittedly one that gave me one of the most enjoyable championship seasons i can remember) could do with some further tweaking.
