Absolutely they should
feller in shop at checkout asked me how I was getting on first day of wearing a mask (I've been wearing one in shops for a while tbf) I telled him "it was the least we could do for you guys" which is about the top and tail of it. Must be quite stressy for the shopworkers employers really should pony up.
