even at full price, the Athletic is not expensive

It is cheaper than buying one hard-copy newspaper per weekend

It is less than buying a pint of beer (glass of wine for the ladeeeez) once per week

And if everyone had kept buying newspapers then, in theory, the EDP (and others) wouldn't have been forced to run eye-bleeding ads online and employ idiots who think that facts and accuracy are for other people.

Stuff costs money, kids. If you put 10p into a jar every time you logged on to this site then you would soom have enough for an Athletic sub.....
