Why is it that norwich can
Why is it that norwich can often put up a great promotion fight but can never put up a relegation fight? It just never happens. Surely, there is a very weak mentality in the club spanning years. Another lacklustre, weak, timid, spiritless fight (not just since the restart) to stay up. Most fans know there will be no fight from the team when we are in the bottom 3 of the Premier league. Apart from a few minutes in the first half and a promising start to the second half yesterday which made us look like a top 6 championship team, we just looked like a bottom half championship team for the rest of the game. Yes, we've played well in games and didn't get what we deserved, yes we've had injuries, yes we have had some shocking decisions go against us and yes luck has not been on our side much since August but you can't blame all our performances on these. We have a very good championship manager who no doubt will do very well again next year but so out of his depth in the prem like most of the players. It says something when our most experienced prem player gift wraps arsenal their first goal yesterday.
I'm sure come february and we are fighting for promotion (maybe) in the championship next season all this will be forgotten, but it just seems another wonderful opportunity has been utterly and naively wasted. Webber says, 'we are ahead of schedule' (being in the prem), but surely that shouldn't mean just limp back to where you came from with no ambition. Embrace what you have and go for it as we may not have it again for years to come. I hope I'm wrong.
