On #2 - I think you underestimate the damage that would cause. They'll only be able to delay next season up to a point. Postponing it indefinitely won't be an option financially or if we want to stay aligned with European leagues. And you'd still have a big legal clusterf**k to deal with.

If they squeeze the games in, it all sort of works. But if they run out of time they'll need to work out what they are going to do re the table.

Ultimately I don't think they will have the time. Govt is making the right noises, but ultimately this lot are slaves to public opinion. If (when) infection and death rates start to nudge upwards again following the easing of restrictions, and the media and twitterati lose their s**t, the Govt will not wanting to be seen facilitating sporting events or anything that increases the burden on our NHS Heroes(TM).

I don't think you're looking at games re-starting before July, which is cutting it awfully fine to complete in time.

Could all change if UEFA and national associations agree on doing things to flex the calendar like cutting cup comps, pushing back start dates, etc etc.
