Wife wants to see family. Advice needed

my wife wants to see her mum & dad, and for them to see our 9 month old. fair enough, we all want to see the fam.

They've hatched a plan where they and us would stay indoors for 7 days per and post the get together, meaning risk of infection is reduced. They'll be coming from Newcastle to London.

I'm against it as I always veer on the side of caution - her mum and dad are 70+ and I currently have no sense of smell and think I had/have covid symptoms. If they got ill I’d never forgive myself

She's all for it as she has her 7 day plan, and I sense mother in law is pressuring
