The financial aspects of Football.
There is no doubt we have two competing aspects and a huge divide between the PL and the other leagues.
With a club like Norwich, we could probably survive by just receiving the PL TV money only, as its a huge % of our income.
TV money is incredible income because there is no cost associated with it. Its just sent to us.
Say we look at season tickets and match day income.
Only a certain % of that is profit.
If there is no crowd, most of the costs of food, utilities, staff, goes away.
In the lower leagues clearly they cannot play next season behind closed doors as the vast majority of income is from match day revenue.
It would be cheaper for the clubs to just shut up shop and fire everyone.
Could they void contracts? I'm sure a lot of clubs are looking at the legal aspects of that right now.
