which is why is a community institution that has turnover of over £100m, using tax payers money to pay its lowest paid staff, while focusing its resources on meeting the salaries of its highest paid employees?

It's morally repugnant. Other Prem clubs were rightfully shamed by their fans for doing this, and we should be doing the same.

If it means the club needs to find an extra million or two from somewhere in the future, to cover for this, then they can fund it through selling some of their assets, or reducing wages it offers to its highest paid employees. Not by taking subsidies from the tax payers.
