Not sure why playing in Europe would be a prime

motivation to not finish the season. Europe only concerns 5 or 6 teams out of 92. And certainly Norwich fans are familiar with English teams not competing in Europe. I'm sure the Big Four, Leicester, Wolves etc. will survive one season of not filling their overflowing coffers.
As far as contracts running out in June I just don't see it as a big deal. Take the Coventry kid who becomes a Norwich player in July. He simply is not eligible to play in the last nine matches of this season. Pay him, let him train, just can't play in matches as that changes the structure of the team. Bottom line is the integrity of competition should be the major priority in this situation.
Finishing the season is fairest to all teams in all leagues.
