I coach an under 12s football team

I don't know any youth football coaches who will practice heading during training sessions. I certainly don't set up heading drills.

In matches there are only a handful of headers, maybe 6 headers during the whole game so I can't see any ban making any difference.

As the kids get older heading becomes much more part of the game. My 16 year is a centre half who is decent in the air. I recon he'll head the ball 10 or more times during a match. Should I be concerned? I don't think so, the balls used these days are so much lighter and the ball spends less time in the air than when I played in the 80's.
