Selfish is a bad choice of words. Clearly they aren't that.

A better word would be unrealistic. Their wealth suits them much better to Leagues 1 or 2. I get their aim. Just think the chance of it succeeding is pretty close to nil. Unless their aim is truly to be top 26. Even that I think is a bit unrealistic.
