and my post was never about the politics of funding hospital buildings. I get some people view everything in their entire lives through a set of political goggles and that shapes their entire view. I just looked at it from a "how does this place tick" from an operational (pun not intended) viewpoint, how do they do what they do and how does the entire organisation work (or not) together. no good all the theatre staff scrubbed up, instruments all present and correct nicely sterilised and laid out in a logical sequence, patient on the trolley waiting to get knocked out and there's no medical gas available, that sort of thing.
