That is very true Steve.
When we travelled to Baden Baden a couple of years ago the train and then bus were cheap, clean and on time - something which it is not in the UK. I couldn't believe on the bus there was no conductor and they trusted you to pay for your ticket ( not sure that would work over here either. I just think the extinction rebellion are going yesterday at Smithfield's would not have won many admirers causing ordinary folks to lose revenue. One bloke on a stall reckoned he'd lose 50% because of footfall or rather lack of it.
