If I’ve put it badly. For the avoidance of any doubt if a young girl was subjected to the kind of prolonged abuse alleged then that is wrong.

We can argue over whether there is any mitigation in terms of provocation or whatever. I do think there is a difference but fundamentally it’s still not right.

My natural Instinct in most of these cases is to be defensive about our fans because I’ve been watching Norwich away for a long time and I genuinely think we are amongst the most gentile away supports you will get (and we do have a number of newer fans who don’t alwags get some of the more old school culture) and I’ve never personally witnessed something like that so felt it must have been provoked. I’m also a bit p**sed and argumentative after the disappointing game today.
