VAR was applied badly last night

The keeper barely left her line, what was it, half a step? If she’d charged out miles, fair enough. VAR shouldn’t be used in a scientific way for anything in my opinion, it should be for overturning reffing howlers or things the officials couldn’t see.

Not sure what failed last night, whether it was the rules of football or how VAR was used. If the latter, was VAR used in the way the tournament organisers wanted it to be?

And then, to blow up for full time like that, a hugely unsatisfactory ending for everyone.
