I'm saying two things really

1. I think the level of "abuse" or "grief" they might have got was actually extremely low and probably less than they would get at any other club in the top 30 or 40 places in English football in similar circumstances.

2. I am saying (as I think Webber himself has said) that I do think he regards it as water off a ducks back as he should do if you choose to work in the sphere he works in. If he was genuinely upset by it then that's unfortunate but perhaps he's in the wrong job as it does go with the territory in football. You will always have fans giving the club stick about things, I bet you even get fans at Man City slagging off things they do there on a regular basis.

In my view (which was a response to the comment that he was "definitely affected by the crap he got...…" I personally don't think he mentions it as regularly as he does because he was affected by it. I think he mentions it and to a degree plays on it as he knows how to play the media and knows it just makes our achievements last season look a bit more "against the odds" and impressive to outsiders and I think he knows that it perhaps makes "knee jerk" reactions when things may not go so well in the future less likely. Personally I don't think its a little unnecessary to keep painting that picture because he really did not get a lot of "stick" or "crap" and to keep portraying the opposite just makes our fans look bad unnecessarily but there you go, provided he keeps doing a good job then nobody will really care.
