Is he dead? Friend of my dad’s. Last time I saw him he came over to visit when dad was on

his last legs in 2016. Roy didn’t look too healthy then and wasn’t able to make the funeral as he was particularly bad that day but he did pull strings with his old council mates to speed up dad’s paperwork to enable home caring.

Funny hearing their stories of hanging out with the lads of Kingsley road where they both grew up in the 50s. Roy had a memory which was ridiculous even with his health failing. He could remember all the locals names, which number of which street they lived at, their parents, who got married to whom etc.

Last memory of him was when I called him to let him know dad had passed. Was so sad.

Bloke got a bit of a bashing at times but he’s always been nothing but a gentleman and always ready to help out when he could all the time I’ve known him (since I was a child).

RIP Roy.
