lots of things to consider
you say 'reasonable pay'. season ticket is over £8k, so you need to earn extra £12-15k before tax to just cover train ticket and not be worse off.
a work at home day(s) makes massive difference.
train service isnt too bad. always plenty of seats when get on in norwich. need to get on 10-15 mins before it leaves liv st to get seat.
some people can handle it, some people hate it.
