Strictly speaking I don't think your arm can be offside

I personally think the 'daylight' rule or something similar should apply for offside. Crazy that having a foot a few inches further up the pitch than a defender's can be deemed an offence worthy of a free kick. The rule was designed to stop 'goal-hanging' not to quibble about inches here and there, which give you no practical advantage whatsoever.
