my literal "after action review"

normal score with an AAR is to, obvs, review the action and analyse the strengths/weaknesses of a units performance in action blah blah blah and learn lessons from that after the event. my AAR is more of a take on what happened after the action, first up:

Jamal Lewis struts right up to the away support and my god he is, as the americans would say, toadally stoked. toadally stoked, he struts the entire length of the front row hugging slapping hands and celebrating in sheer joy like he's just beaten boro away from home with 7 to go and we are practically home and hosed thank you very much.

a few other city players wander across fist pumping and clapping and savouring the moment but clearly a bit knackered, then enter the fray mister timothy krull...

now mister timothy krull bowls up wired, he has clearly turned his dial up to all conquering warrior level 11. he's totally plugged into this thing and is beating his chest like a you-will-go-on-my-first-whissul crazy dutch gladiator. you have got to love that guy he has bought into this s**t hook line and sinker and that's no act, he's yellow and green to the bone.

then we get the farke hurray hurray hurray shizz which is nice if not a little bit cheesy, but maybe i'm just an old cynic so lets enjoy that while we can.

then lastly, along comes the colossus that is christoph zimmermann, full of genuine emotion he slowly makes his way towards the away support and slowly takes his time to thank each and every one of those at the front of the stand whilst three bemused middlesbrough plod look on in amazement at the scenes unfolding in front of them. in all my hundreds of years years following city, this is the team i've always wanted. it can't get any better than this can it? i genuinely don't want this season to end. forza the nodge.
