You say you’re not really interested in compensation ... in which case £8 is more than enough!

They screwed up, it happens, nobody got injured, they’ve given you probably four times the price of the chips ... what more do you want? The chairman to come round in a hair shirt flagellating himself and promising to say a mass for your soul every week for forty years? (Actually that would be quite cool.)
