Lets say we got him on a free and paid him 50K a week.
(with relegation clause)

That's just 2.5M a year......pretty cheap for a player with his experience and no transfer fee.
Yes there are risks but that's why he would be so cheap.

Considering the fact we are unlikely to gut the squad if we went up that's a decent option.
