we're not a small club

we're a largish medium sized club.

It's about history and potential crowd sizes.

Charlton have been in the Prem for 5 or 6 years now but they aren't a big club. Saints and Coventry were there for years but look at them now.

We are in that largish raft of clubs who could establish themselves but aren't big enough to be able to "expect" to be there. Very few clubs come in that top category - most of the Prem don't (and Wolves, SheffWed & Leeds don't either).

We are getting large crowds this season because we have been successful in recent seasons (and were expected to be thsi season). But it isn't that long since we could only get 16,000 crowds for local derbies and "Kids for a Quid" nights. A few duff years and we could easily get back to those days again...
