I hope I am not setting myself up for too much abuse, but

has Worthy really been that bad? Is he really that bad now?

I think some of those calling for his head need to remember a few things about our club.

Norwich are NOT traditionally a top flight club, in our 104 year history we have spent just 15 seasons in the top flight.Some players spend more time than this in the top league!

Traditionally we have been an upper third to lower second division club (in old money). This was the position we were in When worthy arrived and since then things have changed. We had our day in cardiff, We've won a title, had not our worst ever top flight season in a league that is now far more difficult to survive in than last time we were there, and then this season.

I'm not saying that I am not disapointed about this season but put into perspective, Worthy has taken the club to a (current) top 10 slot (higher than our traditional home) despite an apalling run of injuries.

So, why is he such a figure of hatred?

I know that expectations change but despite the problems this season he has still guided us to a league position far superior to that the club was capable of on his arrival.
