Ok I’m hoping you’re gonna swat this away with the disdain it deserves, but is anyone else ever thoughtful about the cyclical nature of Narch, in that we might do summat special, only to have a club change enforced on us? And by that definition, DF, SW and co are all rather temporary and will move on all too quickly?

And that if we are promoted, in one or two seasons, we’ll drift or plummet once again, to - um - go again? And that that’s our lot?

I know it’s glass half empty and I should enjoy the ride, but do you think we can ever hope to become a consistent Prem club with bigger objectives in time? Or does that even matter? I’m just adoring this season for so many different reasons, but at the same time, it all feels so finite.
