Electric > Hybrid > Petrol > Diesel

Mate of mine has a hybrid, only about 30-40 miles range on battery alone but gets ~100mpg out of it driving normally, and it's a heavy old f**ker as well (~2tn). Some of the hybrids are quite fun to drive but those are also well expensive. I personally drive a petrol these days after decades of diesel.
