just heads up
I'm guessing your broken boiler isn't a Combi boiler due to its age , and all boilers today usually are combi boilers , but you might have to replace the pipe from the meter to the boiler it has to be a min of 28mm for most of the run , that may not be a problem for you , but something to bear in mind
