A funny old 10 days for us really

I think you could probably call it a “blip” and on the balance of play in games a missed opportunity to really cement a top 2 place but I don’t really feel too much harm has been done to our challenge consisting who we have had our and the opposition we’ve faced.

I know it may seem like a bit of sour grapes and us fans “love it” but I really feel the EFL need to look at their fixture scheduling and whether they should continue to shoe horn in that extra game over the Christmas period. It becomes like a war of attrition rather than a battle of skill and compounded by the fact that the supply of decent refs seems to run out (meaning we have had a string of useless imbeciles) has seen us lose four of our key players to injuries. It’s also meant most clubs at the top or bottom end of the league see the FA Cup matches as little more than a much needed rest weekend and chance to regroup which for us is very much the case.
