By spending a couple of million here and there on promising youngsters (Maddison, Godfrey, buendia) we are building the strength of squad we're seeing now, on a neutral budget. It is impressive, and, after two decades or so, Delia must be one of the most experienced owners in the UK. We're competitive on a neutral budget.

Let that sink in.

You said yesterday that it was down to luck. Rubbish.

By being a path to good premiership sides we are able to attract the likes of jamal and max from Luton.

The championship is littered with clubs that are paying in excess of our transfer record for middling players and getting wildly into debt. There is a very very very outside chance of doing a Leicester (I don't think it'll happen again for decades) . The other clubs are all financially precarious (more so than us...) and with owners who are in it for a profit and don't give a rats about the club.

I don't want that.
