I do think the board have to take some blame. They went into this season trying to do things on the cheap as usual.
Palace fork out seven figures on Ward, we weren't prepared to do that and as a result we probably spend nearly as much on loans plugging the gap in that position.
To get out of this division after coming down you need to spend the cash and after record season ticket sales and parachute payments, we still went down the route of bosmans, swap shops, loans and whoever's available for under 500k
