One with a huge banking system and enormous GDP per capita and the other with a vast oil industry, lots of territory and resources and a population less than 10% of that in the UK.
It's pure fantasy to image that the UK will ever be remotely like either, particularly since a feasible scenario out of the EU is Scotland voting for independence and taking all their oil and gas resources with them
